ISACA San Diego Student Group Program

Your student organization can become an official ISACA San Diego Student Group — the same chapter where the people hiring you next year are already showing up. Joining gives your members what most undergrads can't buy on their own: free professional membership, a mentor, free training, and a local network that turns a résumé into a job.

WHAT YOUR MEMBERS GET

  • Free ISACA membership — paid for by the ISACA San Diego Chapter (a $145/year value)

  • 1:1 mentorship — six-month cohorts pairing students with practitioners in audit, risk, security, privacy, and governance

  • Free training & CPE — 70+ hours of continuing education, cert study groups, and chapter training nights

  • A local network — direct access to chapter events, panels, and hiring managers across San Diego

  • Half off foundational certifications — through 2026, students get 50% off foundational ISACA certs (ITCA, Cybersecurity Fundamentals, IT Audit Fundamentals)

WHAT WE ASK OF STUDENT GROUPS

Being an official ISACA San Diego Student Group is a partnership. In exchange for these benefits, we ask that groups:

  • Actively encourage student members to join ISACA

  • Provide brief updates every two weeks on group activity and engagement

  • Help promote ISACA San Diego within your student community

HOW TO GET STARTED

  1. Review the benefits & requirements document to see if your student organization is a good fit: ISACA SD Student Group Signup

  2. Complete the application: Student Group Application

  3. Our board will review your application against program requirements. If everything checks out, we'll bring it to a board vote for approval. If any requirements aren't met yet, we'll work with you to get there.

  4. Once approved, your group will complete a brief sponsorship agreement to formalize the partnership.

  5. From there, we'll kick things off together — walking through expectations, the update process, membership benefits, and providing your group with a starter promotional kit to help spread the word on campus.

ONGOING SUPPORT

Once onboarded, your group isn't on its own. We check in regularly, make ourselves available for office hours, and stay connected as touchpoints throughout the partnership.
