Collaborative Workforce Development and Regional Resiliency

ISACA San Diego will sponsor several student memberships each year. Here are the steps for students to join:

ISACA San Diego is proud to partner with the Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE) San Diego in support of its Collaborative Workforce Development and Regional Resiliency initiative.

Together, we champion the development of a diverse and skilled cybersecurity talent pipeline by connecting local students, educators, and industry professionals through impactful programs like the San Diego Cyber Clinic. This clinic, powered by regional universities and Google.org’s support, offers free cybersecurity services to under-resourced organizations while preparing the next generation of practitioners.

This collaboration supports several strategic goals aimed at elevating cybersecurity readiness and regional talent development:

  • Strengthening Regional Resilience: By offering free cybersecurity services to under-resourced organizations, the San Diego Cyber Clinic helps secure the region’s digital infrastructure.

  • Developing Workforce Pathways: The clinic connects students from regional universities with hands-on experience in real-world cybersecurity scenarios, preparing them for future careers.

  • Fostering Industry-Academic Collaboration: It builds bridges between educational institutions and industry leaders, ensuring the curriculum and mentorship are aligned with actual workforce needs.

  • Promoting Equity in Cybersecurity Access: By reaching historically underserved communities, the initiative promotes inclusivity in both service delivery and career opportunities.

This underscores the chapter’s commitment of support to our members, and the community at large.
