VOTING IS NOW OPEN
Please take a brief moment to complete and submit your Voting Ballot for any or all of the positions listed below.

Votes must be received ON OR BEFORE November 30th to count. Election results will be announced at our meeting in December, and changes will be effective January 1, 2026.

After the elections, the new Board of Directors will decide the chapter's new term initiatives. This will define the programs (and their participants/leadership positions). Everyone interested that meets the eligibility requirements will have an opportunity to participate in these initiatives. 

Don't forget, our chapter welcomes all volunteers -- whether lending a hand running our chapter operations, helping out at events, providing professional mentorship, or speaking at our monthly meetings. If you are interested in volunteering for any of these then we would love to hear from you at info@isaca-sd.org

To keep everyone updated as best we can, we’ll post updates at different stages throughout the election process here. As always, please contact us at isacasandiego@gmail.com out if you have any questions.

This update covers that the Accepting Applications phase (detailed below) has completed. Below shares the results of who submitted their candidacy, position interest, and LinkedIn profile (if available).

Voting for the Executive Board will begin on 11/04 and remain open through 11/30. During the Elections phase, individuals can select one of the submitted candidates (above), write-in themselves or others, so long as the submitter and candidate meets the By-Law requirements.

*PLEASE NOTE: CHANGE BEING MADE FOR LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS

We have had a large number of individuals submit candidacy/interest across the chapter’s different leadership programs. This is fantastic and thank you!

However, we realized that if we proceed as initially planned, we will have several programs, but no infrastructure for them. This was the chapter’s our error, and we are working to address it in the changes noted below.

TO CLARIFY:
For anyone wondering, this does not impact the purpose of chapter elections. Elections are the tool used to decide Executive Board positions. Leadership Programs are then appointed by the board, in support of the chapter’s overall initiatives.

NEXT STEPS
For the election, we are focused on determining who will be a part of the next Executive Board. Once identified, the Executive Board for the new term will meet / discuss our thoughts on programs. We’ll then schedule an online meeting with everyone that has expressed interest, to share our thoughts, hear yours, and collaborate to decide the best initiatives for the chapter. That process will help us define the different programs and leadership within the program.

The current ISACA San Diego chapter leadership term completes at the end of this year, and we are making election preparations in support of the new term. The new term will cover 1/1/2026 through 12/31/2027. 

Below details the process and timelines we have for the upcoming elections. Our goal is to make the process as easy, transparent, and encouraging for everyone interested in running for a position or contributing more to the chapter.

PROCESS AND TIMELINES

  • OCTOBER 2025 - ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
    Anyone interested in board and/or a leadership position is encouraged to participate. Email us at info@isaca-sd.org, Provide us with your name, ISACA membership number, email address, and what position you are interested in. The last day to submit is October 29th at 5pm PST.

  • NOVEMBER 2025 - ELECTIONS
    Voting will open/begin on Monday, November 6th. An email notification and update on the chapters LinkedIn page will be shared. Voting will remain open through November 28th at 5pm PST. The voting platform is an updated copy of the Google form we used in the previous election. 

  • DECEMBER 2025 - ANNOUNCEMENTS
    Voting results will be posted in the chapter website and shared in an email blast the first week of December. The December meeting will be a panel of the new leadership team, making introductions and sharing their vision for the term ahead. 

  • JANUARY 2026 - NEW TERM BEGINS
    The new leadership team will begin serving their term!

VOTER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • All ISACA members in Good Standing as of 5 November 2025 are eligible to vote. Good Standing requires that the ISACA member must have paid his or her dues in full and must not be a suspended member.

  • Each ISACA Member in Good Standing is entitled to one vote.

  • All ballots must be received ON OR BEFORE November 28th, 2025, in order to be counted.
