Imposter Syndrome is sometimes more common (in our industry) than the common cold. There are different reasons for this, and some stem from how we approach our roles and responsibilities. Jordon M. Darling and Dave Tuckman will take a tabletop look at different situations, with examples from both the perspectives of a generalist as well as a specialist, so we can compare the difference(s). Join us for a thoughtful conversation, that looks into this, along with tips and tricks to help better manage these experiences. 

This presentation is open to the public, available at no cost, and designed for curious minds of all ages and level(s) of technological experience. Participants will receive 1 CPE for attending/participating in the presentation.

  Dave is an InfoSec professional with over 30 years of successful experience in Executive level, Engineering, Operations, Sales, Business Development & Client Relations. Additional experience in consulting, project management, public speaking and entrepreneurship (in 2 businesses he built and sold).
  
  Dave became Executive Director at SecurityStudio Academy (sister organization of FRSecure) in March 2025, after serving as an Information Security Consultant / vCISO at FRSecure since 2023. Certifications include C|CISO, CvCISO, CISM, CISSP, C|EH, CDPSE, Security+, CSX-F, HIPAA Certified Professional, and others.
  
  Dave has served as president of the ISACA San Diego chapter since 2022, is a member of ISACA, (ISC)2, Comptia, EC-Council, Infragard, and the local InfoSec community.
